Welcome to Kron – Studio Hub ("Kron", "we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services.
By using Kron, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our services:
- Account Information: Name, email address, and role (Studio Owner/Admin) provided during registration.
- Profile Data: Studio name, logo, contact number, and business details you choose to add.
- Event & Booking Data: Event names, client details, dates, locations, and notes you create inside the app.
- Photos & Media: Images you upload for events and galleries. These are stored securely on our servers.
- Team & Crew Data: Names and contact information of team members you add to your studio account.
- Financial Data: Expense entries and subscription payment records. We do not store your full card/bank details.
- Device Information: Device model, OS version, unique device identifiers, and app version for crash reporting.
- Push Notification Token: A device token used to send you in-app notifications and alerts.
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns to improve the app experience.
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your Kron account and studio workspace.
- To provide core features: event management, galleries, bookings, team, and expenses.
- To authenticate your identity securely via email OTP verification.
- To process subscription payments through Google Play Billing (Android) and our payment partner (Cashfree).
- To send important transactional emails such as OTP codes and booking confirmations.
- To send push notifications related to your bookings, events, and account activity.
- To monitor app performance, fix bugs, and improve overall user experience.
- To respond to your support requests and inquiries.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
Kron requests access to your device's camera and photo library solely for the purpose of uploading event photos and studio assets. Specifically:
- Camera Access: Used only when you choose to capture a photo directly within the app.
- Photo Library Access: Used only when you choose to select photos for uploading to an event gallery.
- We do not access, scan, or transmit any photos that you have not explicitly selected.
- Uploaded photos are stored on our secure cloud servers and are only visible to authorized studio members.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with the following trusted third-party services to operate Kron:
- Google Play Billing: For subscriptions purchased on Android devices, payments are processed through Google Play Billing. Google's own Privacy Policy governs payment transactions made through the Play Store.
- Cashfree Payments: Our payment gateway partner for processing subscription transactions on web and other platforms. They have their own Privacy Policy.
- Firebase (Google): Used for push notification delivery via Firebase Cloud Messaging. No personal data is shared beyond the device push token.
- Cloud Hosting Provider: Our servers are hosted on a secure cloud infrastructure to store your data reliably.
- Analytics Tools: Used anonymously to understand app usage patterns and improve features.
We may also disclose your data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Kron and its users.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/SSL encrypted connections.
- Passwords are never stored in plain text.
- Authentication is protected with a time-limited OTP system.
- Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and keep your credentials confidential.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.
Uploaded event photos are retained until you manually delete them from your gallery or close your account.
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated personal data.
- Portability: Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Opt-Out: Opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

You have the right to permanently delete your Kron account and all associated personal data at any time. Upon deletion, your account, studio data, events, bookings, photos, and team information will be permanently removed within 30 days.

- Open the Kron – Studio Hub app
- Tap your Profile avatar (top right corner)
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision when prompted

Please note that certain financial transaction records may be retained for up to 90 days as required by applicable tax and accounting laws, even after account deletion.
Kron is intended for use by adults (18+) operating photography or videography businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, sending you a notification within the app.
